I've got this thing with Rubik's cubes. I love to play with them.
I think I got my first cube when I was 8 or 9 or so. I would play
with it and I would be able to solve one side and that was it. bah.
So I took the thing apart and put it back together so it was solved.
That was pretty fun: Seeing the insides and how everything worked.
(One of my friends had a cube, too, and she would 'solve' it by taking
off the colored stickers on each of the squares. That had a rather
sacrilegious feel to me and I never did that.)

At some point, I got my hands on a book that showed how to solve the
cube the right way. I thought that was the coolest thing in the world.
I took some time and I memorized that book.

Give me a messed up cube...

And about 7 minutes later, I've got it solved!

Then my dad got a ten sided rubik's. I stole it and started working on
it as well.

I never had to take this one apart. The ten sided works on the same
principles as the six sided cube. I can usually solve this one in less
than 10 minutes.

For Christmas, I got another one. This thing is supposed
to turn into a cube...

But this is as close as I've gotten to solving the thing.
Guess I'll need to work on it some more. :)
