21 April 2005 ... Doing: Not Much

For brief moments, I occasionally get bored with watching TV all day. And then I might do something interesting to amuse myself. Like go for a walk or unpack a box or read a book. (not that interesting, huh?)

I'm re-reading the Chronicles of Narnia. I've been meaning to, and I found my set when I was glancing through a couple of book boxes. It's pleasant reading.

The other day I was writing in my notebook, and decided I needed something new and different. I had thrown a stack of stickers into my journal box, and I went through them. And found the homemade stickers I made ages ago. (28 Apr 2003, Creative Me) And decided to design another page...

This is a sheet of the little blank "Multi-Purpose Labels" that you can buy at an office store. The teeny ones, each sticker is 5/8 x 7/8 inches. And I just drew directly on these with gel pens. Pretty, huh?

So, anyway. The stickers kept me amused for a little while.

And then I decided that it was time to fix the browser on the computer. Months ago, I had tried to upgrade FireFox from 0.9 to 1.0, and I couldn't get it to work and didn't feel like dealing with it. After I installed 1.0, I couldn't open FireFox... it would not run, no matter how many times I reinstalled, no matter how many times I clicked on the icon, no matter how many times I cursed at it.

Turns out there was something wrong with my profile. I saved my bookmarks and then it was "goodbye profile". And then it was, "Yay, FireFox Works!" And then it was, "crum, I can't find my favorite extension."

Bummer. But I'm having fun, going through all the extensions. There's a lot more available now, many interesting. And even a couple that do almost the same thing as my fav (not quite, but I'll get used to it!).

And then I had to look through the themes. And there's exactly one "Animal" theme, and it's so delightful and unique, I just had to get it. Cats, with tiny little goldfish, and a grey-green background... Red Cats (green flavor)

So, that's how I amused myself today.
