• Do you read in bed? For how long? Do you fall asleep reading? Will a good book keep you up all night?

While I do a lot of reading ON my bed, I don't do much reading IN bed. Mostly just the weekends, because an excellent book will keep me reading... But not ALL night. I really value my sleep, and I get as much as I possibly can, so there are limits on how long even a great book will keep me up.

I do not "fall asleep reading". I always take the time to place my bookmark or turn off my handheld, set it aside and turn off my room light before going to sleep.

• Where do you keep your nighttime reading? Do you have a special table next to the bed? Are there many books there? Do you keep books there that you aren't reading (finished or unread)?

My nightstand mostly contains my art journalling supplies, but it also has a couple of my current books as well as my Palm handheld (on which I'm actively reading three books).

Finished books get put away immediatly to make room for the new.

I have several piles of new, unread books, but none of them are next to my bed. There's a huge "pile" of ebooks on my computer. There's a big box in my closet with probably a dozen unread books. I go through it when I'm desperate... most of the books there are big and thus require dedication, or are um less interesting. ;) And finally, there's a stack of books right next to me near the computer. Also there's another stack of books in the mail, on their way to me. heh.
