I mentioned last time that I was going to draw every day, and had joined NaNoDrawMo. And then !suddenly! I decided to do National Blog Posting Month as well. I don't know what kind of crazy possessed me to do this, since I can't really be bothered to type more than once a month or so! ha! But Yeah, I'll be typing over at my LiveJournal. Because uploading here becomes a bit unwieldy when you have to update five or six different html pages. And walk in the snow uphill both ways. It'll be easier to update over there, plus it's nice and green.
Anyway. I think I should be able to do both these projects because my new temp job is only 32 hours a week. This week, I've been sleeping my extra hours away. But once I get back into the swing of things, I really should do something productive with those hours. I'll also be keeping up with my postcard projects: my monthly postcard exchange and PostCrossing. Tho I'm not sure if I'll be able to make any new postcards for PostCrossing... which is a shame because I'm already getting bored with the postcards I've built so far! eh. We'll see how it goes! I think I'll add a list here, of the titles of my LJ posts, so you can visit if they look interesting. And I will be posting here as well, probably on the weekends, to show you my drawings. |

So anyway. I have been blogging every day without fail. And I have nine drawings done... I've skipped a day, and I've doubled up a couple days with with drawings.
Unfortunately, I've been spending less time with my drawings, and they aren't as interesting as the ones I did in October. So, I'm hoping in the coming week I will focus more on the quality.
Oh! I've discovered a new art challenge blog, and I can't understand how I missed it in my searchings thus far. The Art Every Day Month has apparently been running for several years over at the Creative Every Day blog. I've only visited a couple sites on the blog roll, but the art I've seen is quite incredible! Maybe they will inspire my own art in the coming week. |

∞ 20 Nov, Thursday: books I am actually a little surprised by my blogging ability. There have been a few days when I agonized about what to type... but there is always the fall back of just posting some of my drawings. I was thinking that I could re-arranged my site design here a little bit to be more "blog-like"... Have many blog posts on the page instead of just the one. And then archive all the posts into a monthly page, so I wouldn't have to deal with all the individual HTML pages. Doing that would make it easier to post here, I think. Because I am definitely not staying with the LiveJournal blog... it's fine and everything, but I'd rather type at my own web site! So maybe my December project will be a site redesign. :) In the meantime, here are thumbnails of the daily drawings that I did in October... hmmm. I guess... I'll get used to it. :) Here are my most recent NaBloPoMo blog entries...
∞28 Nov, Fri: Postcards And now that NaBloPoMo is coming to an end, I'll be typing here more often... I think I understand now that not every blog entry has to be a two page essay. ;) I can take one random thought and type two or three sentences! Yay, shortness! laughs. Update... Well, I no longer have a splash page. And I no longer have an "About" button, since that pointed to my splash page. Everything will be fixed in the site redesign. As soon as I figure out what I want the redesign to look like! ;) |

I just finished up my 30th blog post over at RiftVegan at LiveJournal! Which means I typed up a blog post every day this month for National Blog Posting Month. Yay Me! And those thumbnails above are almost all my drawings that I did this month for my DrawMo! As you can see, there are only 27 drawings. But I did not show all of my anteater attempts (there were four). And also, today and yesterday's drawings have not been scanned yet. So, there are definitely more than 30 drawings, total. Yay... November NaBloPoMo and DrawMo: success! And even more than a success, because I do plan to continue drawing and blogging. I don't feel like I need a break to get my creative energy back... I feel more like I have made a new habit. And that's a very good feeling! |
