This design went through several generations, including a page that
was composed of nine frames! Wow. It's all about defining your goals.
And my goals for this page were:
- Attractive and professional look. I knew I had something with those pastel purple and green transparent gifs.
- Loads quickly. Instead of the frames, I simplified my graphics and used a table to display them.
- Browser compatibility. It is important that all my pages look similar in both Netscape and Explorer.
- Monitor compatibility. I used percentages on my tables to make them viewable to WebTV, as well as at 1024x768.
