Book Piles

Yes. I have piles of books that I've bought but haven't read yet. I had to start a new pile when I came home from xmas. I am doing my part... the new pile has been reduced by 3 books already. It's been a while since I've done a count of my unread books. And I thought it would be interesting to list them here...
This is my new 2015 pile. Not too bad, huh? Except a couple of the books are some heavy reading. The wordpress book, yeah, is a tech book... I've been interested in learning WP for a while now and it's been ages since I've learned any new computer stuff. So, that's one of my goals this year! 2015 Pile = 4 Books
This is my 2014 Overflow Pile. Some odds and ends here... A couple movies on the left, including Doctor Who dvds! and the wrapped bundles are back issues of a magazine that I love: GreenPrints. And there's an issue of another mag I subscribe to: the magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. There are also a few books in this pile that I started reading and then abandoned for whatever reason. When I come back to them, I'll have to start over at the beginning.
(Not counting magazines and zines)
And this is my Ancient Pile. I don't even know how long I've had some of these books! And this is the pile I'm referring to when I say "I can't die until I've read all my books!" haha. Ancient Pile = 13 Books Total = 30 Books Huh, well it's not as bad as I thought. Though, there are a couple more books laying around randomly... Plus a couple more on my kindle... But probably the actual total is less than the 50 books that I thought it was! So that's good! And, since I read about 30 to 35 books in a year, I could conceivably get through my piles in a year or so. But how can anyone get through a whole year without buying any new books? Impossible! ha. So many books, so little time! |
